So Chris Rock had a skit where he talks about his family being too poor to afford medical care and his fathers solution being to just pour Robitussin or “tussin” on ANY and ALL ailments… bleeding – tussin, rash – tussin, broken bone – tussin. You get the picture but at the end he mused about the day when AIDS could be controlled by just taking some Tussin, and it seems that we are nearing that time. Recently yahoo reported that researchers have found a vaccine that kills 90% of the HIV virus now for those of you who have not been paying attention for the past 25+ years HIV causes AIDS so you stop HIV you stop AIDS. Now there is also research that shows that by being treated for HIV using current meds it decreases your likelihood of spreading the virus to your partner. So the specter of HIV and AIDS may soon be coming to an end, I wonder which untested incurable highly infectious disease the government will create next in an misguided attempt to control the population of minorities (yes Im a conspiracy theorist). Or they could always think of a way to make herpes lethal… cause they still havent cured that….
